  6. gogators432 July 3, 2010 00:26

How much do you charge for this? this is really cool

  7. earlbrown33 July 3, 2010 01:21

i’m pretty sure this is the same setup that chimp spanner uses.

  8. shotgunndunn July 3, 2010 01:46

@IHeartIgnorance Wow, tracking worse than this??? That is hard to believe. I was very disappointed with my initial results. Things are MUCH better now. I shipped this guitar back to my customer several months ago. He was able to tweak it. At this time, I am afraid to say that I still am not an expert as to how these converters are tweaked. I simply haven’t been able to take the time to sit down with it.

    Sorry,

    shotgunn

Seeing as your the man at this stuff.. I just got this ghost system installed into my Schecter C-1 Classic, using a Roland Gr-20 synth, and I get nowhere near the quality of tracking that you are getting. Ive adjusted the sensitivity, the switch is on Roland not Axon, im pretty dissapointed… any advice?

Holy crap 6:30. Sooner or later, someone is going to get very famous writing a song using that technique.

D Minor, the saddest of all keys. Never mind that i’m downtuned and it’s C Minor hahaha

  11. 851852093114208513 July 3, 2010 03:43

6:30 Sounds like Halo. Also, that synth pad sounds like God passed gas. Sooooo freakin sweet :P

  12. ilikebacontacos July 3, 2010 03:54

    that sounds fn awesome

  13. ekalb2185 July 3, 2010 04:27

I like the Synth Pads, maybe you can do some techno stuff

  14. shotgunndunn July 3, 2010 05:10

I am an authorized GraphTech dealer. I had them make me some custom inserts that would normally be in there LB63 bridge (Floyd Rose bridge). Do not attempt to cannibalize your Wilkinson saddles. You will completely destroy the crystal. The piezo element is a tiny fragile crystal embedded in the string saver material. Once it is embedded it cannot be successfully removed. I can get whatever parts you’ll need. Message me if you are interested or if you have further questions.

    Thanx,

    shotgunn

  15. christonabicycle July 3, 2010 05:46

Did you buy the piezo transducers separately or butcher them out of a set of saddles? I have a set of Wilkinson style saddles which I bought for a project but if I could get them out I’d love to try this.

  16. shotgunndunn July 3, 2010 06:10

@SeamlessR Any guitar man. Let me know if you have any questions. I would like to help break some worlds!!!

    Thanx,

    shotgunn

  17. SeamlessR July 3, 2010 06:32

The things i would do with a setup like this. I would break worlds. Can this be done with other guitars? Or is this strictly an Ibanez specific mod?

  18. 851852093114208513 July 3, 2010 07:19

    Synth-Pad = Ear-gasm

  19. sickeningore July 3, 2010 07:35

About time someone made one of those mods! It’s amazing; the extended range really opens a plethora of new things to do with the MIDI sounds.
    Great job man!

  20. RossWildish July 3, 2010 07:51

God dammit now I want n 8 string with piezos ha ha.

Great piece of work man, one of the finest mods I’ve seen someone do to a guitar. Real awesome.

  21. asicit2b July 3, 2010 08:48

Great video examples.Nice setup.Casio did all this back in 1987
With The PG-380. Working on making one wireless with Midi and guitar transmitters.Would be nice to see one of these wireless.

  22. shotgunndunn July 3, 2010 09:04

Honestly, there really is nothing out there that shows in great detail anything of this magnitude. I plan on releasing some videos that teach and train… That may be a LOOOONG way off though. I have been really busy doing these mods. Go ahead and subscribe so I can keep you posted… Thanx!!!

  23. RufusGuitarist July 3, 2010 09:20

    @ 5:52

    Beautiful.

Hey, are there any kind of books or videos that I could check out to learn how to do customizations and such?

  24. shotgunndunn July 3, 2010 10:01

Yeah, I thought the bass sounded awesome too. In Pro Tools I ran the bass through the Sans Amp PSA-1 plugin set for SVT and tweaked it a bit. Then I compressed it quite a bit.

    It’s a pretty useable sound I think…

    THanx,

    shotgunn

and playing the guitar @ 5:25 was surreal. I didn’t even know where I was!!! I was stunned.

  25. Apperson62490 July 3, 2010 10:09

The bass part was awesome, and at 5:25 was awesome.
